Faculty Write-In Days
Fall 2025
Join faculty from across disciplines for a day or half-day of scheduled writing. Writing alongside others socializes what can otherwise often be an isolating endeavor. Writing independently in a room of other faculty provides a sense of community around the challenge for academics to accomplish our writing and publication goals during the busy semester.
The Write-Ins run from 9:00am to 3:30pm in the Curley Exchange, Bartley Hall. We begin with a brief goal setting exercise, then write independently from 9:30am to 12:30pm. Lunch is from 12:30pm to 1:30pm, followed by another two hour writing block for before wrapping up for the day. VIRS provides coffee, snacks, and lunch.
