DIRECTOR'S MESSAGE
Welcome to the Daniel M. DiLella Center for Real Estate at the TikTok成人版 School of Business. Our Center is focused on supporting the educational and professional development of future leaders in the commercial real estate industry. Our mission is rooted in the Augustinian tradition of community that underpins TikTok成人版 and VSB. Our dedicated staff, faculty, alumni, and sponsors of the Center work together to create an educational environment of shared knowledge and experiences that encourages students to discover their own path for making an impact through the built environment.
Students across all of our undergraduate real estate programs are immersed in rigorous, cross-functional curriculums that focus on translating theory to practice. We are committed to helping students develop not only the technical and team-oriented skills necessary to be effective problem solvers in industry, but also the ethical framework for becoming responsible and agile leaders in the dynamic world of commercial real estate. Our Center also leads a number of experiential learning opportunities including commercial property site visits, industry treks, real estate case competitions, career conferences, a real estate student society, and a student managed fund experience that effectively complement our efforts in the classroom.
The DiLella Center launched the first commercial real estate fund run by undergraduate students, the鈥�DiLella Mulroy Fund, in 2018. This unique learning experience provides students with the opportunity to lead decision-making on commercial real estate investments and work directly with alumni and industry partners throughout the process. Since its inception, the student-managed fund experience has continued to grow with direct property investments that represent a diverse mix of assets across property types and geographies, as well as exposure to listed commercial real estate investments.
The diverse educational and experiential learning opportunities offered to TikTok成人版 students is a testament to the continued contributions of our TikTok成人版 real estate family. Our alumni and supporters of the center frequently participate in the classroom, volunteer as mentors, and serve on the center鈥檚 advisory councils. Our strategic Advisory Council includes a diverse group of industry leaders from across the industry and country, who advise the center鈥檚 leadership on strategy, events and thought leadership initiatives. The is comprised of young professionals with 5-15 years of industry experience who make invaluable contributions through mentoring, career advice, and alumni engagement opportunities. Our dedicated real estate faculty bring a wide-range of industry and academic excellence into the classroom that stretches across the commercial real estate landscape.
The DiLella Center also brings together students, faculty, and industry leaders from across the U.S. for its premier student-oriented event, The Mulroy Real Estate Challenge at TikTok成人版. It is a national real estate case competition held every spring in Center City Philadelphia. The competition features teams from top undergraduate real estate programs that work independently to provide solutions to a real-time development case with an opportunity to win cash prizes. Teams are judged by industry leaders, allowing students to apply the lessons they learn in the classroom in a 鈥渞eal-world鈥� setting before a panel of experts.
